Conference "Mapping Scientific Needs in the Arctic and Northern Areas"
The initiative "Mapping Scientific Needs in the Arctic and Northern Areas" organised by the JRC and the Mission of Norway to the EU aims at highlighting science and research needs within a European context to tackle the challenges and realise opportunities in the Arctic and Northern Areas. The initiative will map out the potential for increased knowledge cooperation, focusing on three selected priorities relevant to the Arctic:
- Climate Change and Climate Adaption (Session I),
- Sustainable Management of Oil and Gas Resources (Session II)
- Renewable Energy Technologies (Session III).
The environmental impact will be discussed throughout the different topics.
