JRC signs agreement with Euro-CASE
The Joint Research Centre and the European Council of Academies of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering (Euro-CASE) have signed today a Memorandum of Understanding. This cooperation is intended to lead towards closer links between the EU national academies and the EU's policy-making process.
The parties have already identified initial areas of collaboration: energy, innovation, transport and mobility, education and training and the improvement of public understanding of technology and its impact on society.
Both the JRC and Euro-CASE believe that science and innovation scientists and engineers can greatly contribute to the stimulation of the European competitiveness and support the development of knowledge-based polices that would benefit the European citizens.
JRC and Euro-CASE agree that it is in the mutual interest of the European Union and its Member states to coordinate their science and technological development activities and aim to draw best practices and technology expertise for European policy development.
