Information Society and Media Directorate-General

Shaping Europe's Digital Future

A new Directorate General

As of 1st July 2012, the DG which I manage will be known as the Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology.

But you can call us DG CONNECT.

Our new name better represents the range of topics where we are active, and our new structure better aligns the work of the DG with key EU policies for the coming decade: ensuring that digital technologies can help deliver the growth which the EU needs.

Here you can find the structure of the new DG, our mission statement, and a detailed breakdown of the tasks of the individual units, task forces and advisers.
