Evaluation of the European Network and Information Security Agency ("ENISA")
Objective
The European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) was set up as a European Community agency under Regulation (EC) no 460/2004 to assist the Community in ensuring high levels of network and information security.
The legal base mandated evaluation of the Agency by the Commission before March 2007. At this stage of implementation of the Agency, a key focus of the evaluation was: assessment of the Agency’s working practices, organisation and remit and if appropriate, recommendations for improvements over the Agency’s period of operation up to 2009 and any possible extension of its remit thereafter.
