Die Generaldirektion Informatik (DIGIT) soll es der Kommission ermöglichen, Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien wirksam und effizient einzusetzen, damit letztere ihre organisatorischen und politischen Ziele erreicht.

 

SEMIC 2015 – 5th Semantic Interoperability Conference (Riga, 5 May 2015)

27/04/2015On 5 May, the ISA Programme of the European Commission is organising its annual conference on Semantic Interoperability for e-Government, together with the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Last year's conference attracted some 200 participants from more than 30 countries. 

The European Commission has renewed its internal Open Source Software Strategy

27/03/2015The 10-point document focuses on the procurement of open source software and the Commission's services contribution to open source software projects. The strategy also provides for more of the software developed within the Commission to be published as open source. 

EU tech companies invited to bid to provide Cloud services for the EU

15/02/2015The call for tender aims to secure about 2500 Virtual Machines and 2500 Terabytes of storage for up to four years. This will enable EU institutions to use cloud-based IT services before the end of 2015.
