EU tech companies invited to bid to provide Cloud services for the EU

The call for tender aims to secure about 2500 Virtual Machines and 2500 Terabytes of storage for up to four years. This will enable EU institutions to use cloud-based IT services before the end of 2015.

The call for tender is in line with the European Cloud Computing Strategy, adopted by the European Commission in September 2012, which aims at speeding up cloud uptake across Europe.
