Objective of the consultation

The objective of the consultation is to collect opinions and support on the chosen policy option with a view to establishing a future reporting and monitoring mechanism on EU Member states' progress in fighting corruption

Results of consultation and next steps

The analysis of the results of this consultation will be included in the impact assessment (currently undergoing finalisation) that will form the basis of the EU anti-corruption package to be adopted by mid 2011. Once finalised, the impact assessment will be published. All impact assessments of the European Commission are public documents available on the following website http://ec.europa.eu/governance/impact/ia_carried_out/cia_2010_en.htm.
