To patrol Prague National airport effectively, the Czech police needed to modernise a specific vehicle with mobile thermovisual equipment. During patrols, and with the aid of the mobile thermovisual equipment, police observe the movement of persons both within the perimeter of the airport and in the surrounding area. The equipment allows them to see anyone trying to enter or leave the airport in the wrong place.
The new mobile equipment improves the protection of the external border at the international airport, particularly during the night and during reduced visibility. The modernisation of technology facilitates the police’s work, while the increased security at Prague international airport directly benefits passengers using the airport and its staff.
