Call for proposals launched for projects concerning the health of refugees and other migrants
Today, the European Commission has launched a call for proposals for projects to “support Member States under particular migratory pressure in response to health related challenges”. Interested parties are invited to submit their proposals by 12 November 2015.
The call follows the amendment of the 2015 work programme of the Commission’s third Health Programme, in view of the unprecedented influx of migrants in clear need of international protection. The aim is to quickly support EU countries that are under pressure to address the health related issues of arriving migrants while preventing and addressing possible communicable diseases and cross-border health threats.
Given the nature of the refugee crisis, the EU financial contribution may be up to 80% of eligible costs.
