European Consumer Day: "consumer campaign of the year" prizes awarded yesterday
Yesterday at a press conference in the Berlaymont, followed by an award ceremony at the Théâtre de Vaudeville in downtown Brussels, Commissioner Kuneva awarded the first "consumer campaign of the year" prizes.
The top prize went to Finland for a web-game designed to teach young consumers about their rights and responsibilities as online shoppers. Ireland, UK, Hungary, Estonia and Norway also received special category awards for campaigns which excelled in promoting consumer rights in an innovative and effective way.
An exhibition with a display of all national campaigns can be visited until today at the "Galeries de la Reine".
