REMINDER: Call for expression of interest in DG SANCO Stakeholder Dialogue Group to close on 27 July 2007
The call for expression of interest to take part in the Stakeholder Dialogue Group (SDG) of DG SANCO closes on 27 July 2007. The membership will be on a personal basis and change over time with no more than 20 individuals. The selection criteria will take into consideration overall working experience in the area of DG SANCO consultation processes. DG SANCO will strive to ensure that the composition of the group is balanced in terms of policy areas, geographical coverage, age and gender.
The main task of the Stakeholder Dialogue Group will be to ensure that DG SANCO stakeholder involvement processes are better tailored to stakeholder needs and to support mainstreaming best practice in DG SANCO's consultations. A number of issues have been attributed to the work of the Stakeholder Dialogue Group and will include discussions on: the definition of representativeness; stakeholder asymmetries; a more flexible and longer consultation timeframe; and, the role of national platforms (especially in new Member States) as well as the role of Member States in going local.
Interested applicants should submit a one-page cover letter explaining why they consider their professional background relevant for the activity of the SDG and a CV of maximum two pages by email to: SANCOfirstname.lastname@example.org
