One Health Roadshow celebrates the Belgian National Day tomorrow in Brussels
The One Health Roadshow will participate in an event organised in Brussels to celebrate the Belgian National Day tomorrow, July 21. The One Health Roadshow van will take part in the National Day in the Park event, organised by the city of Brussels from 10:00 to 24:00 in the Parc de Bruxelles/Warandepark. The park is in the heart of the Belgian capital city, between the Royal Palace of Brussels and the Palace of the Nation, which is the seat of the Belgian Federal Parliament.
The European Commission invites all to go and visit the One Health Roadshow van and the Farmland activities, where both the young and the old can learn more about animal health and welfare and its links with human health and food safety, and children can take part in the Farmland drawing competition. "Farmland" is an interactive and informative online computer game aiming to raise awareness about animal welfare. It targets children aged between 9 and 12 and was launched in 2008.
The One Health Roadshow was launched in November 2008 and consists of a customised vehicle that visits mainly agricultural and tourism fairs around the EU to disseminate information to the public on the One Health concept, linking animal health and public health and highlighting the import role of veterinarians.
