ECVAM IS RENEWING ITS ADVISORY STRUCTURE

Open Call for the Expression of interest to become a member of the ECVAM Scientific Advisory Committee (ESAC)

This call is addressed to scientific experts who would like to be considered for membership in the ECVAM Scientific Advisory Committee (ESAC) which advises the European Commission's European Centre for the Validation of Alternative Methods (ECVAM), hosted by the Institute for Health and Consumer Protection (IHCP) of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC), and located in Ispra, Northern Italy

ECVAM, the European Centre for the Validation of Alternative Methods is renewing its Scientific Advisory Structure. An Open Call for the Expression of interest to become a member of the ECVAM Scientific Advisory Committee (ESAC) has been published.

The 19 ESAC members will be in charge of advising ECVAM on all scientific aspects of its work and in particular with regard to the scientific validity of methods that would replace, reduce or refine animal experiments. The ESAC plenary will be supported by specialist experts who will prepare peer reviews of validation reports and provide specialist input to ESAC whenever needed.

Deadline is 30 September 2009.
