Forum on how to fund greener and more accessible cities
Investors and politicians will join forces at an international forum to
discuss how to fund projects to make European cities greener and more
accessible. The forum called Connecting Europe – Financing Mobility and
Sustainable Cities will be hosted by the European Investment Bank on 12
and 13 March in Barcelona. As more people continue to move to cities,
new solutions will need to be found to improve transport in urban areas
while at the same time making them more environmentally friendly as part
of the fight against climate change. However, at a time of economic
crisis it can be hard to find funds for projects addressing these
issues. The forum will bring together expertise from different areas to
come up with strategies to overcome these obstacles.
