Main results of the Council of Transport [ full text ]

The Ministers of Transport met on 11 June under the Irish presidency with a dense agenda. There were political agreements on the "Enforcement" directive, the "Driving and resting times" regulation and on the directive of "Ship-source pollution". The Council reached, as well, several agreements on Galileo. However, there was a minority blocking on "Week end driving bans" and the council reached no agreement on the compromise text for the directive "Eurovignette". Finally, the Council arrived to an agreement on a General approach on "Enhancing port security". You can find below the results of the Energy Council and an analysis prepared by the spokesperson of the Commission for Transport and Energy.
