Press room area

The press room area is situated on the -1 floor of the Berlaymont building and is open from 08:00 to 20:00.

Press room

This is where the Midday Briefing and press conferences with Commissioners and visiting dignitaries take place. The press room is exclusively reserved for these purposes.

Press room foyer

Just outside the press room, this is where all documentation is made available.

Working facilities

There is room for use by the media with several desks, laptops, a photocopier and telephones.

Bar (ground floor)

Drinks, sandwiches and snacks are served; it is open from 09:00 to 13:30 and 14:30 to 16:30.

VIP Corners

Held on the ground floor of the Berlaymont (left hand entrance, on the left after security). Short (15 min) press points to present the outcome of meetings between a Head of State or Government, a Prime Minister or a Minister and the President, the Vice-Presidents or Commissioners.
