Rules for visiting journalists with no permanent accreditation
Professional journalists with no permanent accreditation may have access:

to the Commission pressroom
- by sending an email 24 hours before to comm-pressroom-team@ec.europa.eu
- by presenting themselves at the Berlaymont reception desk with proof of identity and either:
- a copy of an identity document
- an international press card issued by the European Federation of Journalists or a federation of journalists recognised by the accreditation committee, or
- a press card issued by a media organisation recognised by the press services of the EU institutions.
Interviews with Commission spokespersons are available by appointment only

to the Council pressroom
- by sending a request to the press office by fax: +32-2-281.85.41 or by e-mail: press.office@consilium.europa.eu (24 hours in advance) attaching:
- a national press card, or
- a copy of your national press card or, if your country has no such card, a copy of your international press card issued by the European Federation of Journalists or federation of journalists recognised by the accreditation committee, or a press card issued by a media organisation recognised by the press services of the EU institutions.

- by sending a request to the press office by fax: +32-2-284.90.95 or by e-mail: presse-conf@europarl.europa.eu(24 hours in advance) attaching:
- a copy of an identity document
- a copy of your national press card or, if your country has no such card, a copy of your international press card issued by the European Federation of Journalists or federation of journalists recognised by the accreditation committee, or a press card issued by a media organisation recognised by the press services of the EU institutions.
