The European Commission Directorate-General for Communication is launching through its Representation in Denmark a call for proposals in the NUTS-1 and NUTS-2 regions of the island of Zealand (Region Hovedstaden & Region Sjælland) to select a host structure eligible for an action grant and technical assistance in return for hosting a public information centre under the "Europe Direct Information Centres" (EDICs) network, for the period 2015-2017. The centres are an outreach point for all the EU institutions and cooperate with other active information partners. They complement and support the work of the European Commission Representations and European Parliament Information Offices (EPIO) at local and regional level.
The new centre is replacing the former Europe Direct Sjælland that ceased its activities on 31 December 2014.
The successful applicant is eligible for an annual action grant from the Commission, in the form of reimbursement of lump sum costs, ranging from a minimum of EUR 15,000 per year to a maximum of EUR 25,000 per year per centre, i.e. 2016 and 2017. Due to the short activity period (1 July – 31 December 2015) the lump sum costs have been adapted accordingly, which means that they will be ranging from a minimum of EUR 6,000 to a maximum of EUR 18,000 in 2015.
Deadline for applications to be submitted: 04/05/2015
