What we do
It is our job to ensure a coherent communication and information strategy to keep the general public and the media up to date on EU activities. We coordinate the work of the Commission representation offices in the member countries. We monitor public opinion and organise EU information activities.
Commissioner
Viviane Reding, Vice-President of the Commission responsible for justice, fundamental rights and citizenship in the EU, is in charge of DG Communication.
