The ‘Debating Europe’ website has launched a new online forum to encourage people to debate topical issues with current MEPs and MEP candidates, and to vote in next year’s elections for the European Parliament.

The site 'Debating Europe Vote 2014!' calls itself the "largest ever exercise in EU e-democracy".

The forum will provide those who register, a chance to question current MEPs and those running as candidates in the next election. People will also be able to vote on the issues they care about.

The results will be presented directly to the European Parliament each month.

To launch the forum, Debating Europe has organised a debate in the European Parliament between Sergei Stanishev, leader of the Party of European Socialists (which forms the Socialists & Democrats Group), and Sir Graham Watson, president of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party (which is part of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Group).
