European Music Festival 2011 (Larnaca, June 19)
16.06.2011 Music Day 2011 will be celebrated again in Cyprus, this year in Larnaca, on Sunday 19 June, under the title "European Music Festival". Everyone is invited to join for free the concerts organised at Europe Square (Foinikoudes) and enjoy the music by Stavento, Melisses, Ivi Adamou, Gil, Tat-Tnabar and DJ Evi Adam.
The European Music Festival 2011 is organised by the European Parliament Office and the Representation of the European Commission in Cyprus, the Press and Information Office, the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Municipality of Larnaca, the Europe Direct Centre in Larnaca, the French Embassy and the French Institute in Cyprus.
Participating artists are the Greek groups Stavento and Melisses, the French group Gil, the Cypriot ethnic group Tat-tnabar, the Cypriot singer Ivi Adamou and the Greek DJ Evi Adam. There will be live link by Radio Sfera 96,8 starting at 6 p.m.
This year's event is dedicated to the European Year of Volunteering 2011. Music is the best way to unite us all under the summer sky and spread the message: "Volunteer! Make a difference". So this Sunday, 19 June, come to Foinikoudes, Larnaca and bring your friends and family to sing altogether in the European Music Festival 2011! Admission is free.
