Valorisation Day - photos and evaluation results

On 12 December 2008 the first Culture Programme valorisation conference to focus on presenting past and on-going project results (Culture 2000 and Culture Programmes) was held in Brussels.

The aim of the event was to enable exchange of experience and good practice between cultural operators and to help show the synergies between the Culture Programme and the European Agenda for Culture adopted by the Commission and Member States in 2007.

The over 350 people who participated enjoyed a full day with plenary presentations and an accompanying project exhibition.

The results of the online evaluation show that the respondents were overall positive about the event; they found the format and content inspiring and helpful and would attend another such conference in the future.

Respondents also noted that they would have liked more time for networking and partner search. We're incorporating these useful comments into the planning of this year's conference which is to be held together in conjunction with the midterm Culture Forum.
<>The dates will be announced shortly on our website.

During the plenary sessions 10 selected projects focusing on the following 5 themes were presented:

Mobility of artists / Circulation of works
Access to culture / Culture and education
Access to cultural heritage
Intercultural dialogue
Creativity and innovation
