Creation and dissemination of dance

The Culture 2000 programme fosters artistic creativity and dissemination in Europe and third countries.

To this end, it co-finances international dance festivals, including Tanz2000.at-ReMembering the Body and Trans Danse Europe 2000, together with dance networks such as the European network of traditional music and dance.

Culture 2000 seeks to stimulate artistic innovation, lending support to multidisciplinary projects such as Highway 101, locating choreography in unusual places other than theatres.

In the context of its cooperation with countries of Asia, Africa and the Caribbean, the Union supports the training of dancers and show promoters in those countries, together with the creation and production of choreography.
