Education in the visual image
The increasing use of audiovisual media (televisions, multimedia computers,
game consoles, etc.) both in the home and in education systems raises
the question of how they influence children's education.
The "eLearning"
action plan adopted by the Commission in March 2001 to encourage the
use of new media in education has made education in the visual image one
of its priorities.
Educational activities in this area are encouraged at the Netd@ys
event; this is organised in November every year in order to raise awareness
of Internet use.
