The link between youth and culture

Are you part of an organisation active in the field of youth issues? Or maybe you are a young creative individual between 13 and 30 looking for a chance to meet and share ideas with other young Europeans? You may be eligible for support under the Youth in Action programme 2007-2013. Visit the links below to learn more.

Youth for Europe (Action 1)
- encourages young people's active citizenship, participation and creativity through youth exchanges, youth initiatives and youth democracy projects.

Youth Exchanges (Action 1.1)
Supports activities that bring together young people from two, three or more different countries to exchange views and experiences on a specific topic.

Here's a culture project which made the cut:

Youth Initiatives (Action 1.2)
Supports projects entirely conceived and developed by young people themselves.

Youth Democracy Projects (Action 1.3)
Supports projects aimed at developing young people's active participation in the democratic life of their community.

Here's a culture project which made the cut:
A Bridge to Rights: Youth culture and active citizenship in “Ponte di Nona” (page 17)

European Voluntary Service (Action 2)
- helps young people to develop their sense of solidarity by participating, either individually or in group, in non-profit, unpaid voluntary activities abroad.

Here is a cultural project that received funding:

Youth in the World (Action 3)
- promotes partnerships and exchanges among young people and youth organisations across the world.

"CCC – Cross Continents through culture"

Youth Support Systems (Action 4)
- includes various measures to support youth workers and youth organisations and improve the quality of their activities.
Here's a culture project which made the cut:
"An Sanctoir – Youth workers share theatrical methods that explore intercultural understanding" (page 13)

Support for European Co-operation in the Youth field (Action 5)
- supports youth policy co-operation at European level, in particular by facilitating dialogue between young people and policy makers.

"OPERATION HJERNESTORM: A festival organised by young people and for young people to provide a creative space for youth policy and youth involvement" (page 18)
