The Culture Programme supports organisations working at a European level in the field of culture. Four categories are eligible: Ambassadors, Advocacy networks, Festivals and Policy support structures for the Culture Agenda, further divided into two sub-categories: Structured dialogue platforms and Policy-analysis groupings.
180 applications were submitted within the application deadline 4 November 2009, of which 28 organisations were selected for funding, with a success rate of 15,6 %; a result which was slightly higher than last year, which saw the selection of 23 organisations with a success rate of 14%.
The total amount awarded this year for the annual operating grants was 2.835.507 EUR shared between: - 4 Ambassadors: 789.700 EUR - 8 Advocacy Networks: 541.269 EUR - 10 festivals: 871.183 EUR - 2 Structured dialogue platforms: 197.327 EUR - 4 Policy-analysis groupings 436.028 EUR

The results of the 2009 calls for proposals under the multi-annual projects and cooperation measures (strand 1.1 and 1.2.1) are out now!
Who got what and how much? Check all the details here. The Culture Programme supports cooperation projects under strand 1.1 "multi-annual projects" and 1.2.1 "co-operation measures." The former allows 6 partners from 6 different participating countries to cooperate for 3-5 years with an annual co-financing of 500.000 EUR. The latter brings together 3 partners from 3 different participating countries to cooperate for maximum 2 years with an total grant of 200.000 EUR. The deadline for the call of proposals was 1 October 2009. Concerning strand 1.1 grants were awarded to 10 projects for a total amount of 18.576.432,50 EUR. In total, 40 applications were submitted, an increase of 1, and a budgetary increase of 1.904.000 EUR, in comparison with 2009. The success rate saw an increase to 20% (from 16,98% in 2009). Under strand 1.2.1 grants were awarded to 108 projects for a total amount of 17.358.388,65 EUR. This is an increase of 21 projects (or 1.946.000 EUR) from the year before. The success rate was also slightly higher (34,29% compared to 29,40% from 2009).
