European Border Breakers Awards: Milow (Belgium) wins the first ever Public Choice EBBA in Groningen

The European Border Breakers Awards (EBBAs) were presented in Groningen, the Netherlands during the Eurosonic Noorderslag Festival in a show full of live performances by award winners.

EBBA WINNERS 2010 This year 10 winners of the 2010 European Border Breakers Awards (EBBAs) received their awards in a glittering live show which was presented by the famous musician and TV personality Jools Holland and last year's EBBA winner Ida Corr in Groningen, the Netherlands on the opening night of the Eurosonic/Noorderslag festival on 14 January 2010.

Princess Maxima The show was attended by 1200 people together with HRH Princess Máxima of the Netherlands and representatives of the European Commission and it will be broadcast on television throughout Europe in the coming week. In an online vote the EBBA winner Milow (from Belgium) was chosen by the public as the winner of the 2010 Public Choice Award. Milow was presented his award by Vladimir Sucha, director of Culture, Multilinguism and Communication in the European Commission.
