Call for proposals on Roma pilot project - "Pan European coordination of Roma integration methods" - Roma inclusion

The Commission (DG REGIO) has published a call for proposals in order to implement the European Parliament Project on Roma inclusion. The call includes three independant seperate themes corresponding to the following fields of intervention: - early childhood education and care, - self employement and microcredit and - information and awareness raising. The objective of the third theme is to: - identify policy and practices in the field of increasing awareness and dissemination of information. - pilot effective action on public awareness and dissemination of information focusing on curbing anti-Roma racism and social distance, increasing social and civil dialogue and effective citizenship. Intercultural dialogue between Roma and other communities should be fostered and promoted and Roma culture should be valorised in that context.
