European Capitals of Culture 2012 and 2013

Designation by the Council of Ministers

The Council of the EU has designated Guimarães (Portugal) and Maribor (Slovenia) to be the European Capitals of Culture in 2012 followed by Marseille (France) and Košice (Slovakia) in 2013.
