The Creative Europe Culture Sub-programme supports European Platforms active in the cultural and creative sectors.
Platforms scheme offers support to cultural and creative organisations showcasing European creators and artists, especially emerging talents and those lacking international exposure, through a genuine Europe-wide programming. This European programming should facilitate access to non-national European works via international touring, events, exhibitions, festivals, etc.
Platforms must have, in addition to the coordination entity at least 10 member organisations, established in at least 10 different countries, of which at least five different EU Member States. The selected Platforms will sign framework partnership agreements of three years' duration with a maximum grant of 500 000 euro per year. The platform is established with the view of bringing to the fore the common artistic vision of its members and helping improve audience development.
The deadline for the calls for proposals was 19 March 2014.
Grants were awarded to five European platforms for a total amount of close to 2.3 million euro. The selected platforms will be active in the domains of rock and pop music, digital music, dance, literature and circus/street art.
In total 24 proposals were submitted.
