MEDIA Mundus
MEDIA Mundus supports cooperation between audiovisual professionals in Europe and the rest of the world. Besides fostering the exchange of information and networking, the programme seeks to improve access to foreign markets and the distribution and circulation of films worldwide, so that more audiences have the chance to see films from around the world.
The audiovisual industry is increasingly globalised, with new technologies opening up exciting possibilities for developing and disseminating innovative audiovisual content. The MEDIA Mundus Programme (2011-2013, EUR 15 million) capitalises on the growing interest and the opportunities offered by the global cooperation of the audiovisual industry. It increases consumer choice by bringing more culturally diverse products to European and international markets. It also creates new business opportunities for audiovisual professionals from Europe and around the globe.
The programme benefits both European and non-European audiovisual professionals by strengthening cultural and commercial ties and creating new business opportunities. With a budget of EUR 4.6 million, this third call for MEDIA Mundus focuses on actions taking place between the 01/02/2013 and 01/10/2014, in the fields of training, market access, distribution and circulation of audiovisual works. Deadline: 28 September 2012.
