Markets are an opportunity for professionals to meet, exchange ideas, learn and network – both virtually and face-to-face. MEDIA provides support to most international and smaller/regional markets in Europe. This helps promote European audiovisual works in and beyond Europe, and contributes to greater professionalism and diversity in European works.
The MEDIA Programme invests some EUR 10 million annually in the development of a coordinated framework of regional and international markets, online tools and promotional events covering feature films, documentaries, shorts, animated films and cross-media activities.
MEDIA is also present at Cannes (Marché du Film), MIPTV, MIPCOM and Berlin (European Film Market) via Umbrella Stands which host and provide services to the industry.
