It will be a multilevel event that will include the expression of Chinese Art in various fields (cinema, graphic novels and photography):

• A selection of 10 premiere titles that represent the best of the most recent local film production;
• The participation of some emerging and established film directors as well as some producers at the Festival;
• The exhibition “Unspoiled Brats”, as a European premiere, of photos by the director Zhang Yuan;
• The exhibition dedicated to graphic novels will be called “Chinese islands. New graphic novels from Beijing to Hong Kong” on display at the Cinema Visionario di Udine.
• A seminar on contemporary Chinese cinema hosted by journalist Patrick Frater, director of the website www.filmbizasia.com. Entitled “China: The world’s fastest growing cinema? An Asian cultural colonisation? Hollywood vs Beijing?”, the seminar will gather Far East Film Festival consultants, several guests (directors, actors and producers) and experts as well as a representative from the distribution house Fortissimo (that was the first to introduce and distribute several masterpieces of contemporary Chinese cinema on the European market).
