Yangko Dance is a combination of walking, running, jumping, twisting, swaying and rolling. This is a traditional culture heritage from UNESCO. The aim of this short-training course by an expert from Beijing is to exchange culture between EU and China. Later, this will become a long-term course of Yangko, Yaogu and Dragon Dancing in Kongfucius Institutes for the students who are interested in Chinese culture besides the Chinese language. Yangko Dance, originated from the action of transplanting rice seedlings, is a kind of dance to celebrate the harvest by farmers or a performance organised during Yuanxiao Festival (a Festival hosted in the middle of the first month of the Chinese New year) by the Han nationality in China. It has been practiced for almost 1000 years.
