Radical Design Week 2012 is a continuation to the Finnish success in the World Expo in 2010. It will profile Finland as a leading country in innovation and design. RDW2012 will be a high profile event presenting radical designers and artists from Finland and China. Collaborators include major Finnish companies, the WDC2012 cities; Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen and Lahti, the City of Shanghai and Wuxi, design and culture export organizations and top museums from Finland and their counterparts in Shanghai.
RDW2012 aims to provide a platform for Finnish know-how to radically connect with Chinese partners for development of new business opportunities and innovative Finnish-Chinese cooperation in the spirit of Sharing Inspirations.
RDW2012 will be the largest joint Finnish initiative in Shanghai and in China in 2012. The organizers of this event are all key actors in Shanghai: the Consulate General, FinNode China, Tekes – the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, Finpro, Finnish Business Council, BIetBI Advisors, Greater Helsinki Promotion GHP, Nordic Centre at Fudan University, Sino-Finnish Centre at Tongji University and Embassy of Finland in Bejing.
RDW2012 will consist of high profile exhibitions, conferences, seminars, workshops, new project initiatives, top level business and political meetings, media visits, networking events and award ceremonies for young radical designers.
