Choking

The product poses a risk of choking because the decorative beads fixed to the front of the boots can be easily detached and swallowed or inhaled by children.

In addition, the product poses a health risk because there is no cap inside the toe and heel part of the boots. Therefore the boots become deformed during use and do not ensure healthy development of feet.

This product poses a risk of choking as due to its appearance and odour it may be mistaken for food. The product could present a similar choking hazard to that of a small ball if trapped behind the ridge of the hard palate.

The product does not comply with the Directive 87/357/EEC on products which, appearing to be other than what they are, endanger the health or safety of consumers.

Burns and Fire

The product poses a risk of burns and fire because the design of the lighters makes them attractive to children, particularly those under the age of 51 months, who might mistake them for toys, and inappropriate use by children could lead to the risk of burns and fire.

In addition, the products failed to conform to the requirements of the EN ISO 9994 “Resistant to high temperature”, since 4 samples from 5 that were tested were found to be empty after the test.

Compulsory measures: Import rejected by the customs authorities.

Electric shock and burns

In addition, during normal use, there is a moderate risk of burns due to overheating of the lamp.

- screws for connecting the cord are missing,

- the screws of the switch must not be used for to connect the supply wires,

- the switch must be fixed to ensure against rotation,

- the lamp-holder did not pass the ball test; the diameter of impression was 4.5 mm (should be maximum 2 mm).

- the cords have three-dimensional embellishments and are not secured to prevent fraying,

- the toggles are used on the garment when the ends are free,

- it has fixed loops which protrude from the coat that are more than 75 mm,

- the drawstrings have free ends,

- the functional cords protrude 210 mm at the back and 240mm at the front (maximum allowed is 75mm),

- functional cords are protruding from the back.

The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 14682.

The product poses a serious risk of electric shock, since the insulation is not sufficient and during the electrical strength test flashover occurred between the voltage measuring inlets. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 61010.
