Injuries

There is the risk that a baby can fall down from the carry cot, because the attachment point of the handle can become loose. The nut of the attachment hook can become loose. Two reports from consumers that the nut of fastening ring has become loose were received.

Injuries

The product poses a serious risk of injuries because of:

- too narrow place for feet on anti skid part of belt (it is 20 mm wide and should be at least 70 mm),

- too narrow place for running on the tracking belt (it is 305 mm length instead of minimum 325 mm),

- lack of information about the maximum allowed weight of user and class of use,

- lack of essential information and warnings in user’s manual.

The product does not fulfil the requirements of the relevant European standard EN 957-6.

Injuries

On opening automatically, the tailgate may accidentally close abruptly after an interval.

The affected vehicles are repaired by replacing the power tailgate software.

Worldwide, a small number of cases resulting in minor injuries have been reported.

Information about the reacting countries is available in the RAPEX weekly overviews in the column 'Products were found and measures were taken also in'. The Commission RAPEX team will publish reactions sent (from May2009 onwards) to 2009 RAPEX notifications.
