The product poses a risk of burns and fire because during combustion of the candle, the dried flowers incorporated in the candle catch fire and a particularly powerful flame reaches a height of approximately 10cm, resulting in a total destruction of the candle. Given the flame intensity, it is likely that burns may be caused. Under certain conditions, a fire can also be generated in closed spaces due to the powerful flame.

Compulsory measures: Withdrawal from the market ordered by the authority. Press release has been issued.

- electrical strength indicated on the packaging and on the product are different.

The use of this machine is dangerous because:

- the engine drive chain and rear sprocket are insufficiently guarded;

- the fuel is vented via the filler cap directly in front of the rider which has health, machine control and fire hazard implications;

- there are three extremely sharp-pointed plastic parts on the fairing and windshield facing the rider;

- the steering mechanism excessively fouls the engine’s coolant pipe; should this fail whilst the machine was being ridden, very hot water may be sprayed onto the rider;

-when inverting the machine, an amount of fuel leaks from the vent;

- there is no speed limiting device;

- the handlebar levers are not ball ended and the outer handlebars are misaligned;

- the engine stop has no additional action to reset and the throttle control does not self-close;

- no user manual is supplied with the machine.

Compulsory measures: Withdrawal from the market or suspension of sales ordered by the authority.

Choking

The product contains 24,8% di(2ethylhexyl) phthalate DEHP. Childcare articles containing phthalates with higher concentration than 0,1%, may not be placed on the market. Phthalates have a negative effect on the development of male/female reproductive organs and are toxic for testicular cells.

This product poses a risk of choking, because a label with a logo "CAM" is attached in a place which is accessible for children.

The product poses a risk of:

-choking because testing revealed that when the toys are pressed, the squeaking mechanisms located in the bottom section of the toys could be grasped and pulled out under a tensile force of 8 to 16 N which is significantly below the limit 90 N set in the standard. The separated squeaking mechanisms of the toys fit completely in the test cylinder for small parts.

-chemical risk because the soft plastic contains more than 0.1 % by weight of di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP):

-9.86 ± 0.46 % by weight in pink plastic;

- 8.24 ± 0.42 % by weight in yellow plastic;

-9.65 ± 0.47 % by weight in white plastic.

The product does not comply with the Toys Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

Compulsory measures: Compulsory measures taken by the authority.

This luminaire poses a serious risk because it is movable and appealing to children to whom it can remind an artificial fish; the risk of electric shock occurs when children play with the product in or close to the water

- the instructions for use include an indication to the effect that the product should not be used for more than 2 hours without interruption and should not be touched when in use;

- the design of the lamp belongs in Safety Class III: supply from the mains is not permitted.

The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

Compulsory measures: Sales ban and recall from consumers ordered by the authority.

Enforcement is a top priority of the EU Consumer Policy Strategy 2007-2013. Both measures leading to RAPEX notifications and measures which come to the attention of the Commission and other Member States as reactionsare indications of enforcement activity in the Member State concerned.
