Injuries

Product poses a risk of serious, even fatal injuries, if the car in which the child is travelling is subjected to a strong impact, as the child is not fastened securely enough in the seat.

The product does not comply with the relevant standard UN ECE 44.03: the seat does not provide the necessary protection in any situation; once the Group 1 child restraint system is in place, the child can easily loosen the part of the seat that restrains the pelvis; the visibility of the weight range information does not meet the requirements; there are no clear pictures showing how the seat should be used nor a diagram permanently attached to the seat showing the correct way of fastening the seat’s straps.

Compulsory measures: Withdrawal of the product from the market ordered by the authority.

The use of the product is extremely dangerous posing a risk of injury for the rider or other persons in the vicinity of the product. The product is not in compliance with the Machinery Directive and the relevant standards:

-there are sharp edges all over the bike;

-the chain guard is insufficient, posing a risk that the rider will come into contact with the chain; the material of the guard poses an additional risk of cutting the rider;

-there is a danger that the rider’s hands will get trapped and a risk of the steering stop getting stuck, causing the bike to overturn and fall;

-the end of the petrol pipe passes over the engine without any protection posing a risk of overheating, which may cause a fire; the pipe is non-standardised for carrying petrol, which means there is a danger that petrol will leak onto the hot areas;

-the design of the brake calliper prevents the engine from functioning properly, as a result of which a touchable surface could reach temperatures of 200 °C within a few metres;

-the levers have little mechanical resistance and the cables get stuck when the handlebars are turned; the steering column is weakened;

-the materials have low mechanical resistance and the means of signalling are not long-lasting;

- the noise level is excessive;

-the warning information is incomplete and not given in Spanish, there is no Spanish instruction manual nor necessary markings.

Compulsory measures: Sales ban and withdrawal from the market ordered by the authority.

-there are sharp edges all over the bike;

-the guards over the moving and hot parts are insufficient, posing a risk that the rider will come into contact with these parts; the material of the guard poses an additional risk of cutting the rider;

-there is a danger that the rider will burn his/her foot if it comes into contact with the exhaust manifold at temperatures above 140°C;

-there is a danger that the rider’s hands will get trapped since the handlebars have no steering stop;

-the end of the petrol pipe passes over the engine without any protection posing a risk of overheating, which may cause a fire;

the pipe is non-standardised for carrying petrol, which means there is a danger that petrol will leak onto the hot areas;

-the design of the brake calliper prevents the engine from functioning properly by obstructing the gear;

if the gear is forced the disc becomes red and deformed within a few meters and temperature of a touchable surfaces reaches 200 °C;

-the levers have little mechanical resistance and the cables get stuck when the handlebars are turned; there is no steering stop;

-the materials have low mechanical resistance and the means of signalling are not long-lasting;

- the noise level is excessive;

-the warning information is incomplete and not given in Spanish, there is nor Spanish instruction manual, neither necessary markings.

- the soft toy fish comes apart from the clip for attaching it to clothes with a force of less than 90 N, providing access to the adhesive device and this device, which can come off easily, constitutes a small part.

The product does not comply with the relevant European Standards EN-12586 and EN-1400.

Moreover the appliance’s specified voltage is not stated and it does not attain the specified voltage value of 230 volts and the following warning is not given “Do not use the appliance if the rotating sieve is damaged”.

This product does not comply with the LVD Directive and the relevant European Standards.

Fire

Moisture ingress to the heatable spray nozzles can trigger a malfunction, which can result in the spray nozzles overheating. In unfavourable circumstances, overheating of the spray nozzles can lead to a fire in the engine compartment shortly after the engine has been stopped. Some fire damages have been reported without any injury to persons.

Choking

The rattle presents a risk of choking because the small parts may become detached when the rattle is dropped.

During the drop test it was found that the seam of the plastic ball containing the small rattling parts (pellets) was liable to burst. The small parts in question pass through the cylinder. One complaint reported by a consumer.

Injuries

The outer ball joint stud on the steering gear may fracture. As a result, the driver may notice difficulty in handling manoeuvres which may cause an accident due to insufficient control of the car. The problem may appear after using the car under extreme driving conditions and intense strain of the direction system (off road driving or driving on a bumpy road).

80 accidents have been reported worldwide.
