Due to improper construction of the cord anchorage the connection cord can be pushed inside the luminaire where the external insulation of the cord can get into contact with hot surfaces of the lamp. The connection cord is not properly fixed, thus the cord may get into contact with sharp edges and may be damaged and if live parts are accessible electric shock might occur. The luminaire is not provided with SELV transformer/ converter.

The glass plate covering the lamp broke when 0,7 Nm force was applied and the hot lamp became accessible by the small test finger. The highest temperature measured on the hot surfaces was too high, 244,2 °C. The external cover of the luminaire was overheated during the tests.

This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the European Standards.

Risk of electric shock. The live terminals of the lamp holder are accessible after removing the screw connecting the lamp holder with a metal cover of the luminaire, what may cause electric shock. The screw is not secured against loosening. If the wires of the stranded conductor are detached contact between the metal parts of the lamp and the live wires of the cord is possible what may cause electric shock. The wires are lead through sharp edges and they may become damaged. This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the European Standards.

Risk of electric shock, fire. The lamp holder fixed with a double-spring steel wire frame can be pulled out with a force of 8,7 N and can be removed together with the mains cable. When moving the luminaire the lamp holder supporting the light source can slip out easily from the salt crystal and break, resulting in a risk of electric shock, since the spiral holders of the broken light source become accessible. The highest measured temperature was 184,8 °C (allowed value on normal flammable surface: 90 °C). The lamp does not comply with the LVD Directive and the European Standards.
