Campaign: Art competition on consumer protection for primary school pupils
Organiser: National Federation of Associations for Consumer Protection (NFACPH)
It is important to start informing consumers of their rights from an early age, and yet there is no consumer education in primary schools in Hungary. Therefore, the National Federation of Associations for Consumer Protection in Hungary (NFACPH) invited all primary schools in Hungary to participate in a drawing competition with consumer protection as the theme. There were three main categories: 1. Do we know what we eat? 2. What is your opinion about Hungarian commercial advertisements? 3. How can we complain? The winning applications were publicly displayed and a calendar of the drawings is being prepared for distribution to primary schools. The competition was well received by the pupils and led to an increased understanding of consumer protection issues and consumer rights amongst school children.
