Objective

Assess the need for action at EU level in the field of current bank accounts. If so, what measures could be taken on:

1. Increasing the transparency of fees linked to the operation of bank accounts;
2. Helping consumers to smoothly switch between account providers;
3. Making it easier for consumers to open basic bank accounts.
