On 15th
December 2004 the first
conference of the
network of stakeholder
experts on the Common
Frame of Reference
(CFR-net) took place in
Brussels. The network
brings together
business, professional
and consumer interests
(industry, trade,
services, financial
services, legal
practitioners, judges,
notaries, arbitrators,
consumer organisations)
and its members will
contribute feedback
based on their
practical experience to
the preparation of the
Common Frame Reference
(CFR).
The objective of
the conference was to
inform stakeholder
experts on the
developments of the
European contract law
project and on the
process of preparation
of the Common Frame of
Reference (CFR) and
also to gather from
stakeholder experts
their views on the
content of the CFR and
a precise indication of
the problems that the
CFR should
address.
