Workshop on the revision of the Package Travel Directive in April 2010
The European Commission will hold a full-day stakeholders' workshop on the revision of the Package Travel Directive (90/314/EEC) on 22 April 2010. The workshop will take place at the Albert Borschette Conference Centre in Brussels. It will primarily aim at hearing and collecting stakeholders' views on the impacts of identified policy options for a revision of the Directive.
Interested parties are invited to express their interest in participating at the workshop by 19 March 2010, sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and providing the following information:
- Name, job title and contact details of proposed participant
- Name of the organisation
- Short presentation of the organisation
- Request for reimbursement (only for Member States Authorities and consumer organisations)
As the number of places is limited, a selection of participants will be made in the interests of obtaining a representative selection of stakeholders in terms of geographical coverage and type of operation.
The selected participants will be informed by e-mail by 9 April 2010. They will also receive a detailed agenda and a briefing paper for the workshop.
The European Commission can cover the travel costs of representatives from consumer organisations and Member States Authorities, maximum one representative per Member State. Applicants interested in obtaining such funding, are invited to make the relevant request in their expression of interest in participating at the workshop. Funding will be in the form of ticket provision for transportation to the conference venue.
