Regional Aid maps 2000 - 2006

This page provides information on regional aid maps in the 25 Member States of the EU, divided in a general and a country-specific section. The maps of the old Member States (EU-15) remain in effect for a period of 7 years, from 01.01.2000 to 31.12.2006. For the 10 new Member States, which joined the European Union on May 1, 2004, the maps are in effect from 01.05.2004 to 31.12.2006. These state aid maps are considered as existing aid within the meaning of Article 88(1) as the Commission has examined them in the course of the interim mechanism and has issued decisions not to raise any objections for all new Member States.

• Table for the 10 new Member States

  Regional breakdown until NUTS level 3 and approved maximum state aid intensities.
  
  The column "reg status" indicates whether the respective NUTS levels are (T) totally eligible, (P) Partly eligible or (N) non eligible for regional state aid for large enterprises. If several state aid intensities are approved for the same NUTS level, then only the highest one is mentioned in the table. The legal basis for accepting this regional state aid is Article 87(3)(a) or (c) of the EC Treaty.

• Percentages are expressed in NGE (net grant equivalent). For information about the "net grant equivalent" as used by the Commission in its assessment of aid schemes notified by the Member States, see Annex I of the Guidelines on National Regional Aid
