International Competition Network

The European Commission is pleased to announce the 2011
International Competition Network (ICN) Cartel Workshop,
to be held in the Belgian city of Bruges, on 10-13 October 2011.

The 2011 ICN Cartel Workshop marks the 8th annual Cartel Workshop
hosted under ICN auspices; it is a continuation of the series of agency-led conferences that began in 1999. This is the second time that the European Commission is hosting this important event, having previously organised the Workshop in 2003.

Participation in the ICN Cartel Workshop is limited to representatives of ICN
member agencies and Non-Governmental Advisors (NGAs) nominated by
ICN member agencies.

The European Commission looks forward to welcoming ICN member
agencies from around the world to a fruitful Workshop in Bruges
     this October!

Bruges is the capital and largest city of the province of West
Flanders in the Flemish Region and an important port city of Belgium. Bruges is amongst the very best preserved of Europe's medieval cities,
and its historic city centre is a prominent UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Along with a few other canal-based northern European cities, such as Amsterdam, it is sometimes referred to as "The Venice of the North".

To get there by train from Brussels airport:
Bear right after exiting the baggage claim area into the arrival hall at the airport and take the escalator or lift that goes down to level -1. From the train station on level -1, take a train (around 3-4 per hour) going to Gare du Nord, Gare Centrale or Gare du Midi. You can change for a train to Bruges at any of these three stations. The train timetable is on the Belgian Railways website.
