Inauguration of the CERT-EU premises
Vice-President of the European Commission Maroš Šefčovič attended the inauguration of the premises of CERT-EU (Computer Emergency Response Pre-Configuration Team for the EU Institutions). In the three months following the initial setting up of the team on 1 June 2011, the Commission has established a specialised infrastructure according to the needs of a standard CERT.
In his speech, the Vice-President voiced his appreciation of the enormous efforts made by the Commission's services in order to establish an optimal environment required to achieve a key objective of the CERT-EU mission: efficient protection of the European institutions against cyber threats.
He wished the Preconfiguration Team every success in this challenging, long-distance race.
