Joint Transparency Register operational
On 23 June 2011, Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič and President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek signed an agreement between the European Commission and the European Parliament to set up a joint Transparency Register.
The Register provides citizens with a direct and single access to information about which organisations are engaged in activities aiming at influencing the EU decision making process, which interests are being pursued and what level of resources they invest in these activities.
