Congratulations message to the new President of Hungary, Mr János Áder
Today, President Barroso conveyed his congratulations to the new President of Hungary, Mr János Áder: "On behalf of the European Commission, I would like to offer you my congratulations on your election as president of Hungary. Your election has come at a crucial time, as Hungary, together with other Member States, embarks on the path of economic recovery. After managing a successful presidency of the European Union, your country faces difficult choices in difficult times. Addressing you as a former member of the European Parliament, I am confident about your deep commitment to the European project. I hope for your active involvement in communicating this success story, sharing our common values and interests and the actions we take together to tackle the challenges we face today.
