Berlin Energy Forum, 10-11 February 2014, Berlin

The first edition of the Berlin Energy Forum, hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and chaired by Mr. Dominique Ristori, Director-General for Energy, provided a high-level platform for more than 160 stakeholders from all areas of the energy domain, including industry and civil society, to discuss issues of cross cutting interest. Topics addressed include the 2030 energy and climate plans, the role of the different energy sources in Europe's energy mix, security of supply, and the ever rising energy costs and prices. Germany's vice-Chancellor Gabriel and I underlined the need for close relations between national and European Energy policies.
